McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Physical Security Plan. Revision 48 Gentlemen:
As required by 10 CFR 50.54(p), enclosed are four copies of Revision 48 to the McGuire Nuclear Station Physical Sccurity Plan that addresses the devitalization of a designa.ed vital area during unit refueling outages and/or major maintenance. In addition, Revision 48 address:s the potential use of rifles in the contingency response program and refers to the Nuclear Security Training and Qualification Plan (Revision 1) for rifle training and qualification criteria. Revision 1 to the Training and Qualification Plan is teing prepared for separate submittal to the NRC. ne enclosed Synopsis of Changes details the specific text changes These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the McGuire Nuclear Stauon Physical Security Plan.
Since Revision 48 details features of the McGuire Nuclear Station security system,I request Revision 48 be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21.
