SUBJECT: MATERIAL CONTROL AND ACCOUNTING INSPECTION AT UNIVERSITY OF
MISSOURI-ROLLA NUCLEAR REACTOR

This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. J. L. Belanger of this
office on July 12-13, 1993. The inspection included a review of authorized
activities for your University cf Missouri-Rolla Reactor. At the conclusion
of the inspection, the findings were discussed with Mr. David Freeman of your
staff.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
activities in progress.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt
from disclosure according to Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Consequently, Attachments A,
B, and C of our report of this inspection will not be placed in the NRC Public
Document Room.
