NOTICE OF VIOLATION Consumers Power Company Docket No. 50-155 Big Rock Point Nuclear Plant License No. DPR-6 As a result of the inspection conducted on June 21-25, 1993, and in accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, (Enforcement Policy) the following violation was identified:
Technical specification 13.1.1, Table 13-2, Item Sc, requires that the Radioactive Gaseous Effluent Monitor (RGEM) Sampler Flow Rate Meter be calibrated every 18 months.
Contrary to the above, the meter was not calibrated from 1986 to December 10, 1992, a period exceeding 18 months.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement IV).
The inspection report showed that steps had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, nn reply to the violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
