In a .ordance with Section 7 (a) of the Endangered Species Act, on January 2,

1991, t NMFS issued a Section 7 Consultation Biological Opinion relat d to the operat'on of Hope Creek Generating Station. This Section 7 Cons tation entitled, "Re'nitiation of a consultation in accordance with Secti n 7 (a) of the Endangered cies Act regarding continued operation of the alem and Hope Creek Nuclear Gener ting Stations on the eastern shore of th Delaware River in New Jersey," conclhded that ". . . continued operation 's not likely to jeopardize the continued existence of listed species."

Opinion, and all subsequent amen ..ents as may b approved by the National Marine Fisheries Service, PSE&G sha 1:

(1) Inspect the Hope Creek Genera g Station service water intake trash bars once per day and clean as ne essary from June 1 through September 30.

(2) Make use of dip net and other equipment enever possible to remove smaller sea turtl s from intake water trash r eks to reduce trauma caused by the (xisting cleaning mechanism.
