Dear Mr. Salmon:
SUBJECT:
CHANGE IN PHYSICAL STATUS OF LICENSED OPERATORS By your letter dated May 28,1993, which is enclosed, we were informed of two cases in which the required notification of a change due to medical conditions of licensed operators was not reported to the NRC within 30 days of learning of the diagnosis.
Based on the information supplied, it appears that your organization was not in full
.I compliance with NRC requirements. A Notice of Violation is enclosed and categorizes the violation by severity level in accordance with " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C.
Since your letter also describes the reason for the failure to notify the NRC, the corrective steps to preclude recurrence and that all other licensed operators medical examinations and license restrictions have been verified to be current and correct, no response to this violation
-i is required. We will review your actions in a future inspection of your license activities.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of 10 CFR Part 2, a copy of this letter and your May 28,1993, letter will be placed in the Public Document Room.
