PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM This letter is sent in recognition of your having completed the Performance Improvement Program (PIP), which was initiated after the May 29, 1991, incident to improve performance in the general area of nuclear criticality safety.
Substantial improvements have been made at the General Electric facility as a result of your completing your commitments under the PIP in a timely and responsible manner.
Inspections were conducted by the Region II staff of the PIP items to confirm their completion.
During management meetings on April 1, 1992 and April 20, 1993, it was agreed-that certain longer-term actions extending over several years would be considered and tracked to completion, separate from the PIP. The specific, longer-term items on Procedure Improvement and Training will be reviewed during future routine inspections.
No periodic reports on the status of these items are necessary.
