The technical specification recuires that each intermediate deck door be inscected at least once per tnree months to verify it is closed.

Eacn door snall be aemonstrated to be operable at leas t once per three months during the first year and once per 18 months thereafter by:

1. Visually verifying there is no frost accumulation or structural deterioration.
2. Verifying free movement of the vent assemblies.
3. Ascertaining free movement of the doors when lifted with the applicable force listed belew:

2.1 Measure the " initial opening" force.

2.1.1 Measure the force required to open the door with a spring scale attached to the outer edge. The force should be applied slowly.

Record the measured force. If the maximum allowable force listed in the Preface is exceeded, the door should be cleaned of any frost accumula tion.

2.1.2 Repeat the measurement by closing the door and re-opening it. Record the measured force. -

2.1.3 Repeat the measurer 5ents for all doors to be inspected.

N 2.2 Visual inspection of door condition.

g 2.2.1 Visually inspect the top surface of all intermediate deck doors for abnormal ice formation. . , ,
