PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO MISCELLANEOUS REQUESTS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS FILED BY SAN LUIS OBISPO MOTHERS FOR PEACE Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E") herein responds to several miscellaneous requests for the production of documents dated May 6, 12 and 17, 1993 ("MFP's Miscellaneous Document Requests"). Copies of these miscellaneous requests are included as Attachment 1. In accordance with the agreement entered into by PG&E and MFP concerning the scope of discovery at the May 12, 1993, prehearing conference, this response includes answers and objections in accordance with 10 C.F.R. SS 2.740(b) and 2.741(d) and addresses MFP's Miscellaneous Document Requests in full.

Because of the volume of documents involved, documents identified in Attachment 2 are being made available to the representatives of the San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace ("MFP") for review and copying at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP).

, GENERAL OBJECTION MFP have requested miscellaneous documents such as Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), Action Requests (ARs), operability evaluations (OEs), submittals to the NRC, sections of the DCPP FSAR, NRC information notices, and other similar documents. To the extent various of these documents are unrelate'd to maintenance and surveillance (such as NCRs and ARs which do not actually or potentially involve maintenance or surveillance-related deficiencies as their root or contributory cause, or such as OEs which by definition review plant operability, not maintensrce issues), PG&E objects to the requests as overbroad and not within the scope of Contention I as admitted in this proceeding. Other requested documents are available in the San Luis Obispo Public Document Room, such as PG&E submittals to the NRC and sections of the DCPP FSAR. S_qq 10 C.F.R. S 2.740(b) (1); see also Discovery and Scheduling Order, at 3. PG&E also objects to the request for INPO SOER 26-89 as unrelated to maintenance and for the same reasons cited in Answer to Request 13 in PG&E's Response (dated April 12, 1993) to Second Set of Written Interrogatories and Requests for
