TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REQUEST - SIEMENS POWER CORPORATION (SPC) DECOMMISSIONING FINANCIAL ASSURANCE The FCSS Licensing Branch requests technical assistance in reviewing the subject project:
Project:
Siemens Power Ccrporation (SPC) Decommissioning Funding Plan and financial instruments dated March 25, 1993.

Background:
SPC submitted a Decommissioning Funding Plan and financial instruments to NRC in July 1990. NRC staff reviewed the documents and prepared a Request for Additional Information (RAI) in October 1992.
SPC has responded to the RAI in letters dated November 10, 1992, and December 14, 1992, and in a letter and package dated March 25, 1993. SPC stated in the November letter that the most recent cost estimate for decommissioning was provided in their August 1992 license renewal application.
Requested Action:
FCLB requests technical assistance in the review of SPC responses to the NRC RAI.
