FOIA Request Issued Upon the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Dear Senator Graham Please take receipt of the enclosed copy of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request made upon the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by the National Whistleblower Center on my behalf regarding certain investigative documents and/or reports issued in connection with a NRC 10 C.F.R. @50.7 investigation of the Houston Lighting &
Power Company South Texas Project and my employment termination from the same.
The aforementioned FOIA request was filed on January 21, 1993 and requires a timely response on the part of the NRC within ten (10) days. The National Whistleblower Center has not taken receipt of the FOIA requested information to date.
In light of the fact that I am scheduled to testify in a Department of Labor whistleblower proceeding in Houston. Texas on March 15, 1993, a timely response providing the information sought in the FOIA request is critical.
The cooperation of your office assisting me in obtaining this crucial FOIA information for the benefit of the public and the environment, is both anticipated and appreciated.
