This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

- these areas, the inspection consisted of selective. examinations of procedures

for control of;the North Anna facility during an emergency.

. i thin the scope of - this inspection, no violations or deviations were

,1dentified.
Although procedures were found- to be adequate to support ' safe'-
emergency operations, numerous deficiencies were identified.
The number and-

- nature of these deficiencies place. burdens on operators which could reduce-
their capability of_ responding to emergencies. The enclosed inspection report'
reflects our understanding of some of your -intented : corrective actions -which-
were' discussed during'the exit meeting.
