ENCLOSURE 1 NOTICE OF VIOLATION l

Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 McGuire Units 1 and 2 License Nos. NPF-9 and NPF-17 During the Nuclear Regulatory Connission (NRC) inspection conducted on i

April 25,1990 through May 21, 1990, a violation of = NRC requirements was identified.

In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1990), the violation' is identified below:

10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion 1/; Instructions, Procedures and Drawings; requires that activities affecting quality shall be. prescribed ; by documented procedures and shall be accomplished in accordance with-these.

Station Directive 2.8.1, Problem Investigation Process, step 5.4.2.1, requires, in part, that when corrective action has.been completed,Section VIII of the PIR shall be completed-by the group assigned the-action.

description of the corrective action shall include reference to procedural-and administrative actions and actions taken to restore structures,-

completed on December 5,1989 for two corrective actions concerning the revision of procedure MP/0/A/7150/69, when the revision was submitted for L

review, not when the corrective. actions were complete. 'The corrective actions had not been complete as of May 21,-1990..

Notice of Violation" and should include for each violation: (1)' admission or ~

denial of the violation, (2) the reason.for the violation if. admitted, (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results ' achieved, (4) the j

corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations, and (5).the date when full compliance will be' achieved.

Where good cause is shown,
