This refers to the inspection condu:ted by Mr. E. J. Ford of this office during

the oeriod May 1 through June 16, 1990, of activities authorized by NRC

Operating License NPF-47 for River Bend Station, and to the discussion of our

findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the

inspection.

Aren examined during the inspection included licensee event report review,

fol'iowup of events, operatiorAl safety verification, maintenance observation,

and surveillance observation. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of

selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the NRC inspector. The inspection findings are

docunented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
