Dear Ms. Etheridge:

Thank you for your letter of May 18, 1990, concerning the above project.

We have-conducted a search of our maps and files and have located three additional structures of historical or architectural importance within the general area of the projects 1 J

Southport Historic _ District.

Fort Johnston, on Moore Street in the Southport Ilistoric District.

'l (Former) Brunswick County Courthouse, on East bbc. Jtract in the Southport llistoric District.

All three of these sites are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In addition, since a comprehensive historical and architectural inventory of Brunswick County has never been conducted, there may be structures of which we are unaware located within the planning area.

Since there are no new undertakings planned at the Brunswick Nuclear Project, we do not believe that the' extended operation of the project will have an effect'on these sites or any of the previously identified his-torically significant resources.
