The integrated Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management / Yucca Mountain Project Quality Assurance Requirements Document and the Quality Assurance Program Description were submitted for review and approval by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on April 13, 1990.
Comments have been received from the NRC.

The EST Requiraments Document is being revised to incorporate comments from the recent technical review.

The milestone is scheduled for completion on June 29, 1990.

Project Planning and Control System (PACS)
The PACS Implementation Coordination meeting with PACS participant representatives was rescheduled for June 15, 1990. me meeting will provide participants with planning guidance for the development of the riscal Year (rY) 1991 Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and for updating the Long-Range Plan / Integrated Project Schedule.
PACS staff participated in the development of a Sandia Logic Schedule that will assign dates to activities that were previously identified only by logic duration and relationship. The information will be used to establish a rY 1990 PMB.

Environmental Permitting i
he Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish t
and Wildlife service concerning the desert tortoise was coupleted.
Letters are being prepared for transmittal to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and to the Bureau of Land Management announcing the successful coupletion of the consultation. This coupletion enables the agencies to process the section 404 Permit Application and the Special Use Permit Application, respectively.

Significant Accomplishments /Information Items l
The NRC Regulatory Strategy meeting, originally scheduled for i-May 30, 1990, has been postponed until June 25, 1990.
Planning is underway for the upcoming NRC Technical Exchange (TE) on Significant raulting. Viewgraphs and a meeting agenda are in production.
i A Gold Star off-site meeting was held on June 4-6, 1990, at Mesquite, Nevada. Project participants included Project Manager, YMPO; Deputy Manager, YMPO; YMP Division Directors; and select Science Applications International Corporation personnel.
