We have reviewed your April 1990 submittal of Revision 8 to the Clinton Power Station Emergency Plan and have determined that this revision is acceptable and does not downgrade the effectiveness of the emergency planning for the Station.

Revision 8 includes descriptive information on the new Joint Public Information Center, which would be activated following any Alert or higher emergency classification.

Revision 8 also indicates that agreements have been reached with a second local hospital and a second ambulance service regarding their availability to provide services in the event of an onsite injury.

Additional backup means of comunicating with local hospitals and ambulance services are also described in this plan revision. The revision also includes some refinements to Emergency Response Organization (ERO) positions and several upgrades to equipment and offsite dose assessment software that are available to the ERO.
