GENERIC ISSUE MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - SECOND QUARTER FY-90 UPDATE Enclosed is the Second Quarter FY 90 update of the Generic Issue Management Control System (GIMCS) for your information. This report contains the following highlights:
(1) One Generic Safety issue (GSI) was resolved during the reporting period.

In addition to the above nine issues, the following issue was reprioritized:

Impact of Locked Doors and Barriers on Plant and Personnel Safety (3) One new issue was identified for prioritization during the reporting period.
Thirty C$is remain to be resolved; of these, ten are scheduled for resolution inFY-90(seeTable4). Thirty-four issues remain to be prioritized. These issues have been screened by the staff and there are none that require urgent r
attention at this time. Ve shall continue to vigorously pursue the resolution of all unresolved issues consistent with schedules stated in the enclosed report. I will continue to keep you informed of progress in resolving the issues as well as any major problems that might surface during the course of resolving these issues.
