SUMMARY
MAY 1990 UNIT 1 Unit i entered its Cycle 4 refueling outage on March 17, 1990.
The outage continued throughout the month of May, with Unit 1 in Mode 5 at the beginning of.the month. Unit 1 entered Mode _4 on May 22,1990, at 1553 (EDT) and entered Mode 3 on May 24, 1990, at 2308 (EDT).
Unit I was forced to reenter Mode 4 on May 28,1990, at 2155 (EDT) for the replacement of check valve 1-VLV-63-551, which exceeded the acceptance criteria leakage of 1.0 gpm extrapolated to full RCS pressure.
The valve was leaking at approximately
- 1.6 gpm.
After replacement of the check valve, Unit I reentered Mode 3 on May 30, 1990, at 0720 (EDT). The unit reached criticallity and entered Mode 2 at 1033 (EDT) on May 31, 1990, and-rema'ned in Mode 2 through the end of May.
1 UNIT 2 Unit 2 generated 868,380 MWh (gross) electrical power during May, with a
- capacity factor of 98.66 percent.
Unit 2 operated at approximately
-100 percent reactor power level the entire month of May.
POWER-0PERATED RELIEF VALVES (PORVs) AND SAFETY VALVES
SUMMARY
There were no challenges to PORVs or safety valves in the month of-May.
OFFSITE DOSE CALCULATION MANUAL (0DCM) CHANGES There were no changes to the 00CM during_the month of May.
