This refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by Mr.
H. Eichenholz and others of this office on March 13 - May 7, ;990, at the
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Vernon, Vermont.
The results of the
inspection were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier at the conclusion of the in-
spection.
As discussed in Section 4.4.B of the enclosed report, the situation where data
was recorded for 20 1/2 hours of the 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> required during the Containment
Integrated Leak Rate Test without the submission of a written exemption request
is considered to be a non-cited violation with no response required.
It is our
understanding that in the future you intend to submit an exemption request to
,
the NRC fer a similar situation. With this understanding in mind we consider
this matter closed.
