SUBJECT:
DISPOSITION OF YELLOW TICKET NO. 0909104 Yellow ticket no. 0909104 consists of a petition, addressed to the White House,(fromtheSocietyforthePreventionofIrreversibleCatastropheonSPICE) and other Earth testing of containments of nuclear power plants. The NRC has not received a request f rom the White House to respond. The staff has previously responded to the issue raised by)the petition in the " Director's Decision Under 10CFRl2.206" (DD-87-02, dated February 10, 1987, and in previous and subsequent documents. Because the subject petition was addressed to the White House, we do not believe that we should make a response, and propose that this yellow ticket be closed without action. A copy of the petition has been provided to OGC (J. Scinto an'd C. Mullins).
