This issue is not being actively pursued at the present time and will not be. addressed until the licensee is again actively working on a final reclamation plan. i, notice of violation was issued and the licensee responded by letter dated September 26, 1986. The corrective actions were found to be acceptable and the State closed the inspection out on October 9, 1986.
No escalated enforcement actions were taken (no civil penalties were issued).
(3) TBRC license indicates that Rhone-Poulenc is discharging radioactive waste into "Dow Canal." What is this all about? On the next review you should look into this. Assistance from NRC's FCUF in reviewing the licensing action on Rhone-Poulenc mcy be appropriate, i
We plan to review this license at the earliest opportunity. This may be possible during a future trip to the Austin offices; but, if not, we will include this license during the next routine Texas program review.
