SPECIAL TEST EXCEPTIONS PRESSURE / TEMPERATURE LIMITATION - REACTOR CRITICALITY LIMITINC CONDITION FOR OPERATION l

3.10.3 The minimum temperature and pressure conditions for reactor criticality of Specification 3.4.8.1 may be suspended during low temperature.

PHYSICS TESTS provided:

a a.

The THERMAL POWER does not exceed 2 percent of RATED THERMAL POWER, b.

The reactor high setpoint trips on the OPERABLE Power Range Nuclear Channels and the reactor high setpoint trips on the OPERABLE l

Intermediate Power Range Nuclear Channels are set at 125% of RATED THERMAL POWER, and The Main Coolant System temperature and pressure are maintained c.

1250*F and 1300 psig, respectively.

{

i APPLICABILITY: MODE 2.

ACTION:

i With the THERMAL POWER >2 percent of RATED THERMAL POWER, immediately

.I a.

open the reactor trip breakers.

[

b.

With.the Main Coolant System temperature and pressure <250_'F or l

<300 psig, immediately open the reactor trip breakers and restore the l

temperature-pressure to within its limit within 30 minutes; perform i

the analysis required by Specification 3.4.8.1 prior to the next l

reactor criticality.

SURVEILLANCE REOUIREMENTS 4.10.3.1 The Main Coolant System temperature and pressure shall be verified to be 1250*F and 100 psig at least once per hour.

j 3

)

4.10.3.2 The THERMAL POWER shall be determined to be (2% of RATED THERMAL q

POWER at least once per hour.

-4.10.3.3 Each Power Range and Intermediate Power Range Nuclear Channel shall be subjected to a CHANNEL FUNCTIONAL TEST within 12 hours1.388889e-4 days
0.00333 hours
1.984127e-5 weeks
4.566e-6 months
prior to initiating low temperature PHYSICS TESTS.

SPECIAL TEST EXCEPTIONS PHYSICS TESTS LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.10.4 The limitations of Specifications 3.1.1.4, 3.1.3.1, 3.1.3.4, and 3.1.3.5, may be suspended during the performance of PHYSICS TESTS provided:

a.

The THERMAL POWER does not exceed 2% of RATED THERMAL POWER, and b.

The reactor high setpoint trips on the. 0PERABLF. Power Range Nuclear

-Channels and the reactor high setpoint trips on the OPERABLE Intermediate Power Range Nuclear Channels are set at 125% of RATED THERMAL POWER.

APPLICABILITY: MODE 2.

l ACTION:

I With the THERMAL. POWER >2% of RATED THERMAL POWER, immediately open the reactor trip breakers..

i g]JgVEILLANCE REOUIREMENTS l

4.10.4.1 The' THERMAL POWER shall be determined to.be 12% of rated THERMAL POWER at least once per hour during PHYSICS TESTS.

4.10.4.2 Each Power Range and Intermediate Power Range Nuclear Channel shall be subjected to a CHANNEL FUNCTIONAL TEST-within 12 hours1.388889e-4 days
0.00333 hours
1.984127e-5 weeks
4.566e-6 months
prior to initiating j
