DEC II 1987 i
PEMORANDUM TO: File 1
FROM:
James Lieberman, OE SUBJEci RANCHO SECO (EA 86-110) 1 i
On December 7,1987 I contacted Tom Flynn, U.S. Attorney's Office, Sacramento.
California by phone to discuss the course of action on NRC 01 Report 5-86-010.
Fe was informed that the NRC would like to take action in the form of a demand for information concerning the licensee's rational for retaining the services of any supervisor / manager involved in the 1985 violations of NRC and EPA requirements for radiological discharges to the environment. Mr. Flynn advised OE that the case is presently under review but since it was fairly widely known in California that some type of criminal investigation in this area is ongoing
.j such a emand for information without naming persons may be acceptable.
He l
went on to say that he would consult with a number of people including his i
boss and get back with us in a few days.
