This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. C. J. Paulk of this office

during the period May 7-11, 1990, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License NPF-28 and Construction Permit CPPR-127 for the Comanche Peak Steam

Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, and to the discussion of our findings with

members of your staff. at the conclusion of the inspection.

This inspection examined the implementation of the commitments to the

provisions of Regulatory Guide 1.97, "Postaccident Monitoring. Instrumentation."

Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective examination of

s

procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and

observations by the inspector. The inspection findings are documented in the

enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
