Dear Sirs:
The purpose of this letter is to submit a revised QA Manual which will be applicable to all Quality Assurance activities related to NUHOMS GiUTECHllorizontal. Modular. Storage Systems) by Pacific Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. This QA Manual revision is the one which was discussed in the referenced ietter.
During your review of this document, you will note that it is a non substantive change since the revised QA Manual contains all of the QA controls currently included in the Pacific Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (PNFSI) QA Manual, Revision 9. The major reason for this revision was to recognize other divisions of our corporation and to include a few additional controls to address an expanded services capability.
As examples of the type of changes in the revised QA Manual, we offer the following. We have changed the title of Quality Assurance Administrator to Quality Assurance Manager.
The actual quality assurance responsibilities of this position remain unchanged and will be implemented by the Quality Assurance Manager. Another change was the renaming of our implementation procedures as Quality Procedures instead of Quality Engineering Procedures. We believe this new term is more descriptive of our corporation's capabilities.
Finally, we added an exhibits section to make the QA program easier to understand for those manual holders who do not have copies of our implementing procedures.
We will continue using our existing implementation procedures until revision at a later date since they are compatible with this revised manual.
Following your review, please replace the existing PNFSI and NUTECH, Inc. QA Manuals in your possession (controlled copy numbers 031 and 078 respectively) with this manual and return the enclosed transmittal form. The existing PNFSI and NUTECH QA Manuals are superseded by this document and should be destroyed.
