This letter transmits the routine resident safety inspection by Messrs.>T. Kenny,_

L. Scholl, and Ms. M. Evans-from March 6 - April 9,1990 at the Limerick
Generating Station, Limerick,, Pennsylvania.
The inspection-consisted of document
?
reviews, interviews, and observations of activities. The results:have been
' discussed with Mr. Martin McCormick, Jr.- of yo'ur staff.
Based on the results of-this inspection, it appears that one of your activities
<
was not conducted ir, full compliance with NRC reouirements. A violation for-
failure' to- properly. control documents af.fecting quality was' identified.
In
>
addition,- several other discrepancies were noted in the. areas of record reten--
~
-tion.and document' control,-clncluding failure to adequately correct Quality
- Assurance audit. findings. These discrepancies are discussed in Section 10 of.
this-report. This violation has been categorized by severity level according-
to 10 CFR Part 2,-Appendix C (Enforcement Policy). You-are required to respond
-
to this-violation and in preparing your' response you should follow the instruc--
tions in Appendix A.
In your response you:are requested to address the addi-
tional discrepancies discussed in Section 10.
