SbMP.ARY OF MEETING HELD ON MAY 3.1990 TO DISCUSS THE INTERGMNULAR STRESS CORROS10N CRACKING (IGSCC) PROGRAM RELATED TO THE 1990 REFUELING OUTAGE. ALSO, TO UPDATE THE STAFF ON THE RECENT REACTOR VESSEL HEAD WELD INDICATION.
The meeting was held at the Cne White Flint North Office in Rockville, Maryland. A list of attendet is attached as Enclosure 1.

the licensee concerning the reactor vessel heed weld indication., All topics l
6utlined were addressed during the meeting, y
UT inspections of the reretor coolant boundary piping welds in the drywell are conducted as required by the licensee's Inservice Inspection (151) Program, as approved by the NRC, in accordance with Generic Letter 88-01. To date the inspection results have indicated that new IGSCC indications have been found in six welds and two previous indications have shown apparent growth. All will be addressed as required by Generic Letter 88-01.
In addition the original numberofweldsscheduledforinspectionduringthisrefue1Ingoutagehasbeen l
increased from 41 to 45 welds.
l The discussion of the weld indication in the reactor vessel head consisted of the preliminary results which have been obtained to date and the Inservice l
Ins)ection which revealed the indication, previous ISI tests and the test metiod used for the heed welds, and the weld sample program ex3ansion resulting from the test results.
In addition, a overview of tie corrective action plan consistin of engineering analysis, boat sample failure analysis, and indication remova was discussed j
