STATION BLACK 0UT SUPPLEMDlTAL SAFETY EVALUATION - THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT NO.1 (TAC NO. 68615)
You submitted GPU Nuclear Corporation's response to the Station Blackout Rule (10CFR50.63)onApril 17, 1989. The NRC provided a Safety Evaluation on your submittal by letter dated December 18, 1989.
GPU Nuclear provided comments and clarifications on January 25, 1990, in response to the NRC Safety Evaluation. This letter transmits our supplemental Safety Evaluation on the information supplied in your January 25 letter. We find that this additional information is consistent with our initial understanding of your response to 10 CFR 50.63. Your response to the rule continues to be acceptable pending inspection verification following the proposed modifications.
This letter also acknowledges receipt of your letter dated April 2,1990 affirming compliance with guidance in NUMARC 87-00. No NRC evaluation oY this letter is necessary.
