REPORTABILITY OF NONCOMPLIANCE WITH LICENSING-BASIS DOCUMENTS PREVIOUSLY ADDRESSED IN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- This letter.is to inform you that in conjunction with efforts to develop new standard technical specifications, the NRC staff is in-the process of formulating a generic position on the reportability of noncompliance with j

the requirements'of licensing basis documents which have been relocated from the Technical Specifications to other administratively controlled licensing documents. Until the_ staff has developed.a position concerning the reporting of; noncompliance with the requirements of such documents, you are advised to consider your responsibilities under the requirements of 10 CFR 50.72 and 10 CFR 50.73 when evaluating the reportability of a particular noncompliance, whether specifically required by the Technical Specifications or not.
