SUBJECT:
REQUEST FOR POSTPONEMENT OF COMPLETION OF THE' SEISMIC' MARGINS EVALUATION PROGRAM FOR THE PERRY' NUCLEAR POWEE PLANT During.its 346th meeting, February 9-11, 1989, the Advisory Comittee on Reactor Safeguards discussed proposed staff action regarding a request from the Cleveland' Electric Illuminating Company. (CEI) to postpone completion of their' Seismic Margins Evaluation Program for an additional refueling period. -Specifically, CEI-has requested approval to compit.te the subject program by the'end of the. third refueling outage rather than-the second as recommended in the Comittee's July 1982 letter regarding full ~ power operation for the Perry plant.
The ACRS has no. object!ons to postponement of the completion of their seismic margins evaluation program front the end-of the second to the end-of the third refueling outage, cc:
