elf This refers to your application dated January 18, 1982, requesting amendment to the Model No. SN-1 packaging.
3 In connection with our review, (1) provide the acceptance criteria that will be followed and steps to be taken to ensure that radiolytic decomposition of water in the package will not result in excessive pressure or explosive mixtures present within the package; and (2) establish a containment acceptance criteria for normal and accident conditions of transport for the packaging and its proposed contents. Show that the package design 4
meets the established criteria. Specify periodic tests to be used on packages in use to assure that the criteria is satisfied. Regulatory Guide 7.4 may be used.
