Report Nos. 50-327/82-03 and 50-328/82-03

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by !!r. E. J. Ford of this

office on January 6 - February 5,1982, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License Nos. DPR-77 and DPR-79 for the Sequoyah facility and to the discussion of

our findings held with fir. C. C. flason, Plant Superintendent, at the conclusion

of the inspection.

Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the

enclosed inspection report.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of

selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.

One new unresolved item resulted. from this inspection and is discussed in the

enclosed report.

This item will be examined during subsequent inspections.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will

be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room unless you notify this office, by

telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and submit written

application to withhold information contained therein within thirty days of the

date of this letter.

Such application must be consistent with the requirements

of2.790(b)(1).

Should you have any questions concerning this letter, we will be glad to discuss

them with you.
