OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER March 23, 1982 NOTE TO THE PARTIES IN SOUTH TEXAS PROCEEDING On December 13, 1981, I visited the South Texas site and toured parts of Units 1 and 2.
On the following day,' I met with representatives of Houston Lighting and Power, Brown and Root, and Bechtel to review the status of the tra:1sfer from Brown and Root to Bechtel.

Inadvertently, my office failed to notify the parties to this proceeding of my visit and to offer them an opportunity to accompany the tour of the site and attend the December 14 meeting.
My technical assistant, Edward Abbott, who accompanied me on both days of the visit, has, on the basis of notes which he made during the trip, prepared the attached memorandum describing what we saw, with whom we spoke, and the general nature of what was -hid.
I have asked the Secretary of the Commission to serve copies of this note and of the memorandum on the parties to this procee6ing and to file copies of them in the South Texas docket.
