Dear Mr. Crow:
Exxon Nuclear Company Inc. hereby requests that License No. SIEl-1227 be amended to increase the possession limit of special nuclear material in the f orm of uranium of < 5 wt.% U-235 enrichment from 10,000 kilo-gram of contained U-235 to 20,000 kilograms of contained U-235.
This amendment wil.1 accommodate a gradually increasing production rate over the next several years including the necessity for storage of a larger inventory of plant feed stock (UF ) and finished product.
