te ro Mr. Harold R. Denton Serial No.: 168 Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation PSE&C/LTW: RRC U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 Docket Nos.
50-338 50-339 Attention:
Mr. Robert A. Clark, Chief License Nos.
NPF-4 Operating Reactors Branch No. 3 NPF-7 91 vision of Licensing Gentlemen:
Control Room Habitability North Anna Power Station Units 1 & 2 This letter is in regard to our response to Item III.D.3.4 of NUREC-0737.
As noted in Revision 2 of our NUREG-0737 responses, an additional review was initiated to determine the effects of North Anna Unit 3 construction materials on Control Room Habitability for Units 1 and 2.
This review has been completed and is documented in the enclosed report.
The report concludes that the Units 1 and 2 control room remains habitable in i
the event of an accidental hazardous chemical release, except chlorine, from any of the storage areas addressed in the report.
Chlorine is licensed by the EPA to be stored at one of the storage areas.
However, no chlorine is presently stored i.here or at any other location on site.
The analysis indicated that a chlorine cylinder at the EPA licensed storage area would have to contain at least 250 lbs. of chlorine before it would present a habitability problem to the Units 1 and 2 control room. Any potential future storage of chlorine in this area will be in cylinders containing less than 250 lbs.

The enclosed supplemental report completes our response to Item III.D.3.4 of NUREG-0737. Should you have any questions, we are available at your con-venience.
