Combined Inspection Nos. 50-245/81-17 and 50-336/81-16
This refers to thi routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Baer of
this office oc December 1 - 4 and 14 - 18, 1981 at Millstone Nuclear Power
Station, Units 1 and 2, Waterford, Connecticut, of activities authorized by
NRC License Nos. DPR-21 and DPR-65 and to the discussions of our findings
held by Mr. Baer with Mr. E. C. Farrell of your staff at the conclusion of
the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the Office of Inspection
and Enforcement Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room, unless you notify this
office, by telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and submit
written application to withhold information contained therein within thirty
days of the date of this letter. Such application must be consistent with
the requirements of 2.790(b)(1).
