US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20575 COLdUMERS POWER C0!TANY - TOPICAL REPORT CPC-2A QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION FOR OPERATIONAL NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS Consumers Power Company letter dated November 30, 1981 submitted Topical Report CPC-2, " Quality Assurance Program Description for Operational Nuclear Fower Plants".
NRC letter dated January 12, 1982 provi ed formal acceptance of the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) Topical Report and requested that the report be reissued as approved Topical Report CPC-2A.
This letter transmits 36 copies of the approved topical report in accordance with the January 12, 1982 letter.
It is Consumers Power Company's intention that the provisions of this QAPD will become effective at the Big Rock Point and Palisades Plants on April 1, 1982, with full implementation by January 1, 1983 For the Midland Plant, Topical Report CPC-2A will take effect upon receipt of the operating license as described in Section 2.2.3 of the report.
Since Topical Reports are classified as Category F documents under 10 CFR 170.21 a fee has not been transmitted at this time.
