Dear Mr. Keppler:
This letter, telecopied to your office, is intended to satisfy the requirement for prompt notification of a Reportable Occurrence in accordance with Specification 6.11.2.a of the Duane Arnold Energy Center Technical Specifications.
Technical Specification paragraph (s) violated:
Description Occurrence:
During normal operation, snubber GBB-3-SS-235 on the "B" RHR system was removed from service for testing. The "B" RHR system was dec.ared inoperable while this snubber was out of service. With the "B" RHR system inoperable, the "B" containment spray system was affectively also made inoperable.
Due to the "A" RHR (LPCI) system having previously been declared inoperable, a 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> LC0 was entered per Technical Specification 3.5.A.6.
This event was initially classified as a 30 day Reportable Occurrence but was reevaluated as a 14 day Reportable Occurrence on 3/1/82.
