Dear Mr. Madsen:

This letter provides an update on the evaluations of the nuclear coatings applied in the Reactor Building of the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No. 1.

A Purchase Order has been issued for testing of the coatings by a third party Test Consultant. Testing could begin within four to six weeks pending the following:

1) Architect / Engineer complete and issue a test program which has been reviewed by KG&E and the independent Test Consultant.
2) Test Consultant complete and issue test procedures after review and approval by the Architect / Engineer.

The test results on status of the tests will be submitted to you on or before April 23, 1982.
