!!AKE-UP fl0ZZLE The Rancho Seco ASLAB, in their memorandum and Order dated October 7,1981, required the staff's review of your llPI nozzle analysis. As part of this revist, we requested additional information in our February 3,1982 letter.
In response to our letter, your February 4,1982 letter indicated that no

additional themal cycling of the normal make-up nozzle is expected as a result of manually actuated llPI. You subsequently told us by.elephone on February 8,1982 that the source of IIPI water when actuated manually is the nake-up tank instead of the borated water storage tank normally used for the automatically actuated itPI.
In support of the_information given to us verbally, please give us a copy of your procedure for nanually initiating IIPI after a reactor trip. 1le request your submittal within 15 days of receipt of this ietter.
The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirenents contained in this letter affect forer than ten respondents; therefore O!B cicarance is not required under P.L.96-511.

PROCEDURES FOR MANUALLY INITIATING HPI FLOW THROUGH THE N0PNAL MAKE-UP N0ZZLE The Rancho Seco ASLAB, in their memorandum and Order dated October 7,1981, required the staff's review of your HPI nozzic analysis. As part of this review, we requested additional information in our February 3,1982 letter.
