This is to confirm the agreement reached between Mr. R. F. Burnett, NRCN

/

and Mr. J. F. Opeka, of your organization concerning Interim Access Authorization for contractor / vendor employees. The conditions of t.he agreement are as follows:

1.

Unescorted access to the protected area may be granted on the basis of psychological screening provided by the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).

2.

Unescorted access to vital areas may be granted on the basis of Condition 1 plus a background investigation meeting the require-ments of ANSI N18.17 - Employee Screening, combined. with an established "need-to-wor.k" in the area.

3.

Conditions 1 & 2 are accepted as substitutes for the " frequent and extended access" requireme.nts of 10 CFR 73.55(d)(5) for individuals not employed by the licensee.

It is expected that refinements to this agreement may be needed.

Corre-spondence in this regard should.be in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and 50.90.
