Remley, Manager Health Safety and Radiation Services Gentlemen: Subject: NRC Inspection This refers to the closeout inspection conducted by Mr. E. M. Garcia of this office on January 22, 1982 of activities authorized by NRC License No. R-40, and to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. Garcia with Mr. R. G. Jones and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection, The inspection was conducted to observe the condition of the facility and i verify that the licensee conducted surveys and documented results as they were described in the report of January 6, 1982,_ Report of Radiation Survey of the L-77 Reactor Facility in Support of Request to Terminate Facility License R-40 and to Release the Facility for Unrestricted Use Docket 50-94. The inspection consisted of an examination of records, interviews with personnel, observations by the inspector and the performance of direct radiation and contamination measurements by the inspector. Based on the findings of this inspection including results of surveys performed on January 22, 1982, the inspector confimed that the facility has been decontaminated and the condition is ss described in the report cited in paragraph 2 above.
