ARREST OF ALLEGED TRESPASSER - HEDIA INTEREST At approxirantely 6:15 a.m. on February 17, 1982, an individual, who had been fishing near the facility, breached the detection area of the protected area barrier af ter being denied access to the gatehouse.
Responding site security officers were required to physically subdue the subject prior to the arrival of the local County Sheriff.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department arrived onsite at approximately 6:30 a.m.
The subject was transported to the Sheriff's Department and is being held pending a bail hea r i reg.
He was charged with trespass and resisting arrest.
There is no evidence of malicious intent toward the facility.
There has been some local media coverage concerning this event.
The licensee plans to issue a news release; Region lli (Chicago) will recpond to any media inquiries.
The State of Wisconsin is being informed.
