South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Fourth Interim Report Concerning Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment Associated with the Auxiliary Feedwater Pumps On August 25, 1980, pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e), Houston Lighting & Power Company notified your office of an item concerning environmental qualification of electrical equipment associated with the auxiliary feedwater pumps. P re-liminary results of the post-accident temperature analysis of the Isolation Valve Cubicle (IVC) structure within which the subject equipment is housed have been prepared for review and evaluation by Brown & Root.

Following this review, Bechtel will evaluate this deficiency prior to issuance of a Final Report.

The next report concerning this item will be submitted to your office by October 21, 1982.
