We received your December 23, 1981 application for a certificate of compliance for your shipping container, Model 50, as a Type "B" package.
An application fee of $200 is required as specified in fee Category llE of Section 170.31 of Part 170, copy enclosed. Payment should be made to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and ndiled to my attention.
Prior to issuance of the certificate, an approval fee of $1,200 will be required in accordance with fee Category llE. Please note Footnote 4 of Section 170.31, which states that, "When the review of an applic6 tion is complete, the expenditures for professional manpower and appropriate support services will be detennined and the resultant fee assessed....".
If it is determined that the expenditures incurred for the review are less than the approval fee, you will be refunded any overpayment.
Your application will be forwarded to our Licensing staff for processing upon receipt of the fee. When submitting the fee, please refer to CONTROL NUMBER 20089.
