REVIEW OF PROPOSED REVISION 1 TO REGULATORY GUIDE 1.23, i
" METEOROLOGICAL MEASUREMENT PROGRAMS FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS" The proposed Revision 1 to Regulatory Guide 1.23, " Meteorological Measurement -
3 Programs for Nuclear Power Plants," was reviewed by the Committee to Review Generic Requirements et the' November 19, 1981 meeting and mentioned again at several subsequent meetings with respect to its interface with emergency i
preparedness. The Committee judged that there was insufficient information on relative costs and benefits to approve issuance of the proposed Revision and suggested staff reassessment, including submittal of further information in these areas for Committee consideration.
Enclosed is a copy of the proposed Guide, with changes from the November 19 draft indicated by a vertical' line and reference number in the right-hand margin. A summary keyed by reference number explaining each change is also attached.
