ISSUANCE OF AN AMENDMENT GPRITING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION DATE IN CONSTRUCTION PERMIT CPPR-93 FOR THE WPPSS 2 FACILITY On December 1,1981 I transmitted to you a copy of a memorandum I received from Darrell G. Eisenhut requesting that the Commission be advised of a recent telephone conversation between a member of his staff and Mr. E.
Rosolie of Portidnd, Oregon in which Mr. Roso11e stated his intent to request a hearing in the above captioned matter. I also transmitted to you a copy of a letter dated November 27, 1981 which the staff sent to Mr. Roso11e advising him of the proper procedure to be followed in formally requesting a hearing in this case.
In ray memorandum I advised you that if a written request for a hearing was received from Mr. Rosolie we would promptly provide you with a copy of the request in accordance with your memorandum of October 27, 1981 to William J. Dircks entitled " Staff Referral of Hearing Requests to the Commission."
The Staff has now completed its review of the requested extension of the construction completion date for the WPPSS 2 facility. The Division of Licensing has reviewed its files as well as contacting members of your staff, and has advised that no request for a hearing with regard to the above matter was received from Mr. Rosolie or any other person. Accord-ingly, the Staff has this day issued an Order extending the construction completion date for the WPPSS Nuclear Plant, Unit 2.
A copy of the order and a Federal Register notice regarding this matter has been transmitted to Mr. Rosolie as well as the permit holder.
