St. Lucie Units 1 and 2 Docket No. 50-335 and 50-389 Emergency Preparedness Appraisal The results of the Emergency Preparedness Appraisal, during the period oi June 8 through June 19, 1981, of St. Lucie Units 1 and 2 were received by Florida Power and Light on December 21, 1981.
Your letter of December 11, 1981, requested that Florida Power and Light submit a written statement within thirty days of the dote of the letter, describing our planned actions for correcting each of the items identified in Appendix B and the results of our considerations of each of the items in Appendix C.
In regards to the deficiencies identified in Appendix B, deficiency 1 has been addressed by our proposal submitted in our letter L-81-495 dated November 24, 1981 which is being reviewed by the NRC office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
It is our intent to meet our previous commitment to complete the corrective actions for deficiencies 2 and 3 of Appendix B by February 1,1982. A letter describing the actions taken by Florida Power and Light will be submitt ed to you by February 28.

The forty-three " Preparedness Improvement Items" identitied in Appendix C of your I
l letter are currently undergoing review.
We realize that many of the items identified in Appendix C could improve the. level of emergency preparedness and tnese items will be appropriately incorporated into our Emergency Plans.
However, our detailed review of the Appendix C items cannot be completed and evaluated within the l
" thirty" day time period requested.
Consequently, the results of our considerations l
of the items identified in Appendix C will also be provided to you by February 28, 1932.
