STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSPECTION REPORT 1.0

SUMMARY

1.1 The eddy current examination of steam generator tubing was performed between' September 27, 1981 and November 1, 1981. Eddy current examination was performed in steam generators 1,2,3, and 4.

The eddy current exam-ination was performed in accordance with USNRC Regula-tory Guide 1.83 and Haddam Neck Plant Technical Specification requirements.

1.2 The number of tubes inspected in each steam generator and the extent of the examination are shown in Section 2.0.

1.3 The location and percent degradation of indications are shown in Section 3.0.

1.4 The list of tubes plugged during this period are shown in Section 4.0.

It was necessary to plug tubes for wall thinning, denting and the attempted tube removal.

Tubes were plugged for wall thinning if the degradation was 50 percent or greater. Tubes were plugged for denting if they would not pass a 0.460 inch eddy current probe.

1.5 The total number of tubes plugged in each steam generator, including those identified in Section 4.0, is shown in Section 5.0.

3.0 LOCATION AND PERCENT DEGRADATION OF INDICATIONS 3.1 The location and percent degradation of all indications during the tube inspection of steam generators 1,2,3 and 4 are'shown on the following tables.

3.2 The abbreviations shown below apply to the tables:

A Above AVB Anti-Vibration Bar CL Cold Leg TS Tube Sheet TTS Top of Tube Sheet TSP Tube Support Plate 3.3 All dimensions are in inches.

For example, "5A2 TSP" means "Five inches above the number 2 tube support plate."

3.4 All indications refer to the hot leg unless otherwise indicated.
