Dear Ms. Thomas:

This responds to your letter of September 9, 1981, concerning your request for any pleadings urgin Storage Station (BFRSS)g the resumption of the Barnwell Fuel Receiving and proceeding and your inquiry about meetings you indicate were reported to be taking place between officials of the Depart-nent of Energy and officials of German companies regarding the BFRSS.

As we indicated to you in letters dated September 19, 1980 and February 21, 1979, we will make every effort to keep you advised of any correspondence, or other materials we receive, related to the use of the BFRSS. Since you are a party to the proceeding, any pleading filed to resume the proceeding must be served on you in accordance with the NRC Rules of Practice (10 C.F.R. 3 2.701). We cannot, however, assure you that we will be able to infom you'of all actions or proposals of other Federal agencies that may concern the use of the BFRSS.

As we indicated in our letter to you dated September 19, 1980, to assure Environmentalists, Inc. that it has sufficient notice of actions of other Federal agencies, such as the Department of Energy, which may relate to the use of the 8FRSS, specific requests for information should be directed to those agencies.

Further, we suggested that Environmentalist, Inc. period-ically examine the Federal Register. We indicated in our letter that the Federal Register was widely available and could be viewed at the Richland i
